The Fureys at the Ford
The Fureys and Davey Arthur in LA Sept 12!

An Claidheamh Soluis/The Celtic Arts Center of Southern California presents their Seventh Annual Celtic Concert at the beautiful John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 7:00 PM featuring headliners The Fureys and Davey Arthur direct from Dublin, Ireland.

The Fureys and Davey Arthur have led the field in popularity of Irish traditional musicians and singers for over three decades. Their unique style of performance comes from a family tradition of true and deep Irish culture. Their string of hits from "Steal Away", "Sweet Sixteen", "My Old Man" and "Red Rose Cafe" to their rendition of "The Green Fields of France" have wowed audiences worldwide from Dublin to Sydney and London to New York.

Ambassadors of all that is great about real Irish entertainment, The Fureys and Davey Arthur are the real deal. These boys have the ability to reach several generations at once, in concert halls and pub sessions, with their rapport with their audiences. The haunting tune “The Lonesome Boatman” bringing the sad melancholy of one person’s isolated world. The rollicking reels and jigs as well as the toe tapping and hand clapping songs of the Irish public house always bring a timeless veneration to the history of Ireland where “all our wars are merry and all our songs are sad”.

Their show is one where fans and new friends “steal away” at the end and look forward to the next one…
